Unfortunately, this award has been withdrawn as there were no entries by the advertised deadline.
It is our hope that we are able to make awards in two categories: (1) science and (2) technique.
We are seeking a sponsor (or sponsors) for the canSAS Award. A stretch goal would be to offer first, second, and third place in each of the categories.
The purpose of this new award is to advance the understanding of small-angle scattering topics by creating short instructional videos (3-5 minutes typical) describing SAS methodology and experiments relevant to the canSAS outreach goals (http://www.cansas.org) and posting the video online.
Entries should be sent by e-mail by August 30, 2018 with the subject heading “canSAS Prize” to: Chair of the SAS2018 Program Committee ([email protected]). The entries should be presented in the form of a URL to publicly available content online. Do not send the video by email.
The prize jury will be assembled by the SAS-2018 conference organizers.
The first place winner(s) of the 2018 canSAS Award will be announced at SAS2018 and the videos will be presented in the plenary awards session.
